Improvements


I spent my time researching how to make a main menu system as I have never made one before. I watched and followed along with a couple videos trying out different types of ways to blueprint a menu before finding one that made the most sense to me. I then took what I learned from researching and testing things out to create a pause menu. One tiny thing I got stuck on was the esc key quitting the game instantly when I wanted to use it as my pause button like in most computer games. It is probably a simple fix I just didn't find it. I was unable to find a solution to get my widget UI to update once the player had collected a book. I think I'll have to have the game search for the books specific blueprint, and if it is in the world toggle visible on the text string, and if it had been destroyed to toggle some sort of line through the text. All in all, I spent about 3 to 4 hours working on these improvements as well as trying to create music for the main menu through Beathoven.ai.
